Family court & support in March
REVIEWED BY: Sean McNamara on 2026-08-29
Which court serves you
March sits in Fenland, Cambridgeshire, and family cases from the town are handled by the Cambridge County Court and Family Court, 197 East Road, Cambridge CB1 1BA — confirmed on gov.uk's Find a Court or Tribunal (https://www.find-court-tribunal.service.gov.uk/courts/cambridge-county-court-and-family-court). There is no longer a family court building in March itself; depending on the type of hearing, some Fenland cases are listed across Cambridgeshire at the Peterborough Combined Court Centre, Crown Buildings, Rivergate, Peterborough PE1 1EJ — always check the venue on your own notice of hearing. HMCTS National Contact Centre: 0300 123 5577 (Mon–Fri 8:30am–5pm); Divorce Contact Centre 0300 303 0642 (Mon–Fri 10am–6pm). Support Through Court helpline for litigants in person: 0300 081 0006. Getting there
The Cambridge court is at 197 East Road (CB1 1BA), on the eastern edge of the city centre and around 15–20 minutes' walk from Cambridge railway station. From March, trains run to Cambridge via Ely on the Fen Line (roughly an hour; check National Rail for current timetables), or you can take a bus towards Cambridge from March bus station. If your hearing is listed at Peterborough Combined Court Centre instead, it sits at Crown Buildings, Rivergate, PE1 1EJ, about 10–15 minutes' walk from Peterborough station. There is little or no customer parking at either court building — use city-centre car parks, and plan to arrive well before your listed time; security takes longer than most people expect on a first visit.
